Legal Question in Employment Law in California
I work in California at a bar which hosts live music five nights a week. Most of us wear earplugs while we work. The owner's are now telling us that we are no longer allowed to wear the ear plugs, including the bouncers who stand next to the stage, because if the music should never be that loud. I work all of the evenings we have music and feel like i should be allowed to protect my hearing while working, the musicians do. Is this legal?

There are probably health and safety codes regarding this on an industrial site with measured decibles. It may also apply in your situation. Your bosses are wrong and risking worker's comp claims with serious and willful enhancements. Contact me directly.
