Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Work checks returned, NSF

I work at a movie studio in LA that has been taken over by new owners. Within the last few months several checks came back NSF. I have two, what are my recourses if they avoid paying?

If they fail to pay, you may file a claim with the DLSE to recover your wages. Additionally you may seek penalties and interest.

If you are not an independent contractor, you have many recourses including filing a compliant with DLSE. Do you know if other employees have had the same problems? If so, you guys may join your claims. I am interested to talk to you.
