Legal Question in Employment Law in California

I work at a construction company. And i do service calls which require me to travel 50 or 70 miles one way trip. I don't get paid mileage unless i go to two or more job sites. If i go to one service call which requires me to travel 100 miles roundtrip and it takes me one hour to do the call i just get paid for that hour not and i wont get paid for traveling. And i this is my personal vehicle which is a utility truck. is there a law where my employer has to pay me for my vehicle expenses ?

Hello, generally you should be compensated for work related travel and gas/ gas-mileage for all travels besides the first trip from home to work and the last trip from the last work site home. So, no matter how long that first and last trip is, under the law you don't have to be compensated for that, as that's considering commuting to and from work.

Thanks,
