Legal Question in Employment Law in California

I work as an in home care provider I get paid an hourly rate... I also live where I work so I hold the title of roommate as well, so I'm responsible to split the rent with the lady I support. My question is regarding my paycheck. The company that I am employed by deducts the amount of hours for my rental payment each ck. and then records only the remainding of hours as total hours worked on my paystub. Is this legal?

Tax fraud is exactly right. It is highly illegal what they are doing.
