Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Work labor laws information - /work hours

When scheduled to work at a certain time & place, and you get there to find no one there, or find out the location of your job has been moved and you weren't notified, you've got yourself ready for work, drove 20-30 minutes to get there and now because of this error (not your error) you won't be working now at all this night/day, what are the legal number hours I can take in lieu of this, and remember because of this error I can no longer work at all this particular night, so I lose a nights pay. This has happened to me twice in the past 3 weeks time. Is there ANYTHING I can do at all to be paid for this mistake, which my company made?? I need help and very, very quickly, I'm running out of time. My timesheet is due today and I Want to Be Paid, it's only fair, right. Please help me.

Thank you,

The company owes you a minimum payment for having to show up -- I believe it's 4 hours -- keep evidence that you were scheduled to work those shifts -- then ask the company to pay you -- if they do not pay, you can file a claim with the Labor Commissioner -- feel free to send me an email at my private email if you want more info. Good luck.
