Legal Question in Employment Law in California
I work for a large electronics firm that boasted high wages for their employees. The company picks and chooses what is compensable and what is not. For example a Tv that sells for $3000.00 no compensation but cable wires that sell for 29.00 we earn 10.00. We are paid at 100 percent commission. Should'nt every item be compensable. With no base pay. We also work 8 hours per day.

They can decide how much the commission will be on each item which means they can set it at zero. I am not sure if the pay can be $0; check with the Labor Board
