Legal Question in Employment Law in California
I work for a local government agency. I have been working for over three years with no vacation, or other paid time off. My employer considers me as Seasonal Extra-Help. My Title is Extra Help Seasonal Assistant but I have been working steady since April 2008. Since my employer has demonstrated the continuing need for my work shouldn't the hire me into a permanent benefited position?

If you truly are not seasonal and they are attempting to bypass the labor laws you should report it to the labor commission. I would try to work it out with them first.
