Legal Question in Employment Law in California
Work Related Stress / Personal Injury
I've been out of work for approx. 3 months due to a nervous breakdown caused by the stress endurred at work for which I am still seeing a psychologist/psychiatrist for. I have worked at same company 19 years doing the same job approximately 18 years. It boiled down that the employer wanted the same results in less time at each month close. The only way this could be made possible by was by my working many overtime hours & at times even with 50-60 hour pay periods, I could not please my employer. This became more of an issue this last year. They wanted changes & they wanted them now. I was not given the proper administative help when requested, nor the time to properly train once addt'l help was employed. Instead, upon returning from a previous leave (due to exhaustion) found that my position basically was no longer mine. I was not formally told this, but found this out by a new employee upon my giving instruction. This is only the surface of events I have been a victim. Do you think that there is any chance that this can be pursued for emotional & physical damages to me?

If your doctor states that 90% of the stress is work related then you have a viable worker's compensation claim. Please call me directly at (619) 222-3504.
