Legal Question in Employment Law in California

i worked for a company under the employment at will. I quit the job on the basis that my services were no longer required. i was approached by a different division of the same company and was in talks for an offer. suddenly the offer disappeared right before i was supposed to start work, with no explanation. i am positive that it is because i have been blacklisted by certain individuals. do i have any legal recourse?

If you can prove that someone is making false statements about you to prevent you from obtaining employment, you have legal recourse under California Labor Code Section 1050.
