Legal Question in Employment Law in California
I worked for this company for over 3 yrs .my father was a supervisor for over 15 yrs at this place he was good friends with the owner.during the time I worked there I was teased cus of who my father was I was even hit during a meeting by some illegal worker there .cus we had an arguement .the other supervisor n manager covered it up I told them it was corporate assult they told me to make peace with him wich i refused they kept telling me not to sue cus of my father cus he knew the owner for so long but I told them it wasn't my business my problem had nothing to do with my father.later my lead man threaten to hit me as he chased me around the table trying to strike me .they didnt t believe me until they seen the cameras then they again tried brain washing me into not doing anything for the reason my dad n the owner where good friends.now I have issues trying to find work I got laid off on Feb.this yr I'm scared mentally not the same of the abuse that company did to me.my father no longer works there so I was wondering of i could sue them.as all those years of me being teased being hit and also written of all over the restroom has caused me to be not right.
