Legal Question in Employment Law in California

I worked for an llc that constantly changes their llc name due to questionable practices. I quit last year Nov. I requested hr dept in writing to see my employee records. their attorney responded that the company isn't a in business since 2010, I have evidence otherwise ( hence why they change llc names) what us my recourse in them avoiding my request?

Generally, you have no right to their records. You do have a right to pertinent tax and medical benefit information, but a blanket request such as "I want my employment records" would usually not produce much.

I suggest you discuss with an employment lawyer if you believe they are violating your rights in some way.

Kind regards,
