Legal Question in Employment Law in California
I have been working for haagen dazs for about 5 years and recently quit due to unwilling help from the securities and the mall management. I was hit with a shake by a customer, and as i tried to stop her to call security, she tries to hit me again. I block her and launch the shake back at her. She complains and I am the one being removed off site for her hitting me twice, and just because i defended myself instead of letting her hit me again, I get removed. Throughout my years here i have witnessed and received these kind of abuse. When we try to call securities to protect us we end up getting removed for it since the mall management always takes the customers' side even when they were in the wrong. Do i have a case?

Hello.
This is an unfortunate incident. However, even if you had a reason to defend yourself, terminating you for that incident would not be against the law, regardless of who was right in that altrecation.
On a more personal note, if something like that ever happens in the future, consider other ways of defending yourself, such as leaving the counter, calling security or manager. Hitting a customer or any other person back instead of the above options will hardly ever serve you well at work.
