Legal Question in Employment Law in California
If i have been working as a part time employee for a company for 6 years can the company take away holiday pay and paid time off benefits?
The company said they were doing this due to budget issues. I am a part time employee and they only did this to part time employees that work 25 hours a week or less. Part time employees working 32 hours a week and full time employees did not get effected.

Employers can change their benefits at any time, upon notice. They cannot do it retroactively, but they can inform part-time employees that from this point forward, they will not be paying holiday pay, assuming there is no union contract involved.
