Legal Question in Employment Law in California
I am working as a pro bono marketing contractor for a company that will launch next year. I have a contract partially written. I would like two important items to stand out in the contract:
1) In exchange for my pro bono work, I would like 10% of the gross revenue of the company during my employment
2) I can not be fired unless there is just cause. (meaning, if they feel 10% is too much to pay a marketer, I dont want them to just fire me)
Can someone help me with the above two points and also provide me an estimate to review the remaining contract (the contract is about 5 pages).
1 Answer from Attorneys
Attorneys typically charge approx. $300.00 per hour to review, draft or revise agreements and to consult regarding the same. It may be more efficient, faster and less expensive to retain an employment law attorney to help you, email the contract to him/her and consult via phone and email.
