Can a family member work for you without Workmans comp insurance? Can an individual volunteer their time at your business and not be covered by workmans comp insurance?

In my experience, a worker's comp company will only allow you non-coverage for "owners" of the business.

You can probably get more complete and accurate information by calling an insurance broker.
