Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Workplace Retaliation

5 yrs @ a university. Pressured into conforming with questionable practices. Filed grievance against supv. for harrassment, 6mos later, received notice of intent to dismiss for participating in said questionable practices. note: no other employee has been investigated or brought up on same charges. Should I hire an attorney?

Is this a public or private university? Did you in fact engage in the questionable practices? How long ago did you receive your notice?
