Legal Question in Employment Law in California

wrongful termination case?

I do not get along well with my manager but have the utmost respect and support of the rest of my team and direct reports. I also was a witness in a workers' comp case against my manager where he negatively and emotionally affected one of my direct reports. There is not yet a decision on this case. My manager, however, manages ''up'' well and gave me low performance ratings and then fire me, based on made-up, inaccurate statements. (I am also pregnant in my first trimester, but he was not aware of this, but will have hard time getting another job). Do I have any legal recourse to sue for wrongful termination?

Re: wrongful termination case?

You have recourse if you were fired in retaliation for acting as a witness or testifying in support of a worker's comp claim. If you need assistance please feel free to contact our offices.

Re: wrongful termination case?

Your matter is complex and you may be covered by work comp since you were a witness and you should get an attorney. If you are located in Orange, San Diego or Imperial Counties, you can email me your contact info, so we can discuss your particular situation. There is no charge for consultation.
