Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Wrongful Termination without proper cause and forced to sign papers

For my supervisor; they told her to resign or they would fire her. She refused to resign and requested a reason for her being fired.

They couldn't give her a straight answer for her termination, except for finally coming up with breech of confidentiality. She wanted to know what they were talking about. But they couldn't answer her. By this time she was very distrout, and still wanted to know what she supossedly breeched. They didn't answer her, all they told her was to sign the papers and they wouldn't deni her her unemployment or they would fire her and she would get nothing. She is still in shock and needs to know if there is anything she can do.

Re: Wrongful Termination without proper

Unless she has an employment contract that states otherwise they can fire her with or without a reason and they are not legally obligated to tell her why she is being fired.
