Wrongful Termination
I recently was terminated. The reasons given were bad attitude/argumentitive, not a team player. I worked there for 3.years, and they figured out, by then, I was these things? I had a job lined up 5 months ago, and they begged me to stay, even giving me over 2 dollars an hour more. The last day I worked, I had an argument with the managers daughter. She has harrased me for 3 years, I have witnesses and proof, and she never liked me. She tried on many occasions to fire me, but her father wouldn't let her, because I am a good worker, never late, and only missinf 7 days in August 2002, for my angio-plasty. She convinced him that I yelled at him, though it wasa her and I that argued. He was in the room, and is 82 years old, and easily convinced, I suppose. She yelled at me, and told me I was nothing but a damn emplyee, and had not right to argue with them, even though the questions I asked were related to my job. Is there anything I can do? There is more to the story, much more. Thank you

When it comes to a battle between an unrelated employee and the owner's daughter, the daughter always wins.
Assuming you are an at-will employee, meaning you have no contract guaranteeing employment for a specified time, the employer can legally fire you, even without cause.

Absent a contract and other circumstances you have not outlined, you have no other recourse. Try to focus your energies towards finding a new job and good luck to you-Martin
