Re: wrongful termination
You may wish to read some of the other responses in Law Guru, addressing wrongful termination questions. You will learn the sad truth, that most employment in California is terminable at the will of either party to the employment relationship. No reason is needed.
This does not mean employers can terminate for unlawful reasons. They key question you have to ask yourself, is why do you think you were really fired? It is often not the reason you've been told. If you believe you were fired for an unlawful reason, and have some evidence to back it up, meet with an experienced employment law attorney to review your case.
Re: wrongful termination
California is an "at will" employment state. Unless your job is in a protected category such as a civil servant or a union member protected by a collective bargaining agreement, your employer can fire you for almost any reason at any time.
This broad discretion is now without limits. There are many laws that prohibit most types of discrimination. You haven't described any illegal conduct, but a consulation with a local employment law attorney might be useful.
Re: wrongful termination
If you didn't "fit in" because of race, national origin, sexual orientation, age, etc., then those are illegal reasons for termination. However, as my colleagues have stated, you're at will so you can be fired for no reason or any reason that's not illegal.
