Legal Question in Employment Law in California
wrongful termination/boss fired me/made sexual advances/was my roomate
I moved to CA and roommate with the assistant mgr for my store. It turns out he is homosexual and so is the manager for the store. He made many many sexual advancements to me both at work as well as at home. I didnt know what to do, with no friends or family I could not afford to move out etc. Several times i said no to this homosexual man. I felt as though I was being forced because of his power at my work. I found another job put in my 2-weeks notice. I asked him to cover a shift for me and he did. A week before my quit date he asked me to cover a shift for him. I told him I couldnt and he said ''well I did this for you and I did that for you'' speech. The next day or so he called me in and said I was being terminated. He ''said'' it was because about a month earlier I signed a paper saying I would not leave the property during my 30-min lunch. he said if i didnt sign the termination i would not get paid. 1)i think this term is not about me leavin on my lunch 2)the company does not pay 100% of my lunches, can they tell me not to leave during my lunch. 3) i am afraid this is a blemish on my record i dont want any other employer finding out about this termination 4)i have been afraid for anyone to find out 5)this was 3yrs ago

If this issue is causing you problems in your search for a job, it may adviseable to communicate with the former employer and seek a correction of your employment record. But since it happened 3 years ago, you would have no viable claim against the employer.
