Wrongful terminationI , wrongful lay off

I was laid due to the economy after 10 years of continous employment with company 01/04/2002. back in october of 2001 I was denied a raise due to economy. but during same conversation I was offered a 1.00 an hour raise to work an extra 3 to 4 + hours of overtime a day to load trucks. what happened to the the bad economy? is this legal ?

It sounds like you could be owed a lot of money for overtime (if you worked it) As for the termination, it would depend on whether that is a real excuse, or they are just trying to get rid of you, because you are older, and earn more money.
