Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Wrongfull Termination?

I was terminated from my job with my ''at will'' employer with no notice what so ever. My performance and my interaction with customers was great it was my attitude towards various ''internal customers'' that was bad which is the reason for my termination. However a previous co-worker with the same problem was given a 30 day notice to change prior to termination. I was not given this option. Was my employer in there legal right to terminate me?

Re: Wrongfull Termination?

You state that you were an at-will employee, which is the default in California. Therefore you could have been terminated for any reason, or no reason, except illegal reasons such as discrimination or retaliation for whistleblowing, etc. There may be other factors, including your longevity, corporate promises, etc., but those don't seem to be in play here. Time to dust off the resum, I suppose.
