Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Yearly employee evaluation

In the yearly evaluation received, my supervisor states that I bring emotional conflict from outside the worksite to the office that effects other staff members. Can I ask him to tell me what these are? As I don't know what he is referring to? I work in a professional manner and never bring my personal life to the workplace.

Also he wants me to go through him first with any concerns or questions before going to any other outside sources(such as union or Personne Dept.) Do I have this right as an employee to go directly to the aforementioned sources?

Re: Yearly employee evaluation

-I would consult a union representative as to whether the CBA mandates you process a grievance. In a non-union setting, employers are generally allowed great discretion on their everyday affairs.
