Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

60 day notice

my whole building was given a 60 day notice to vacate because they sold the building. every tenant in this building plans to not pay rent for for the time they have remaining here. i'm on the fence about joining my neighbors. what could the management company do to us if we decide to not pay the rent?

Re: 60 day notice

They could, or would take the money out of your deposit, or they could sue you for the rent.

Note that if the latter occurs, you could be liable for court costs and attorney fees.
