3 day notice

after receiving a three day notice on the

20th of my can i stay until the end of

the month?

Probably - so long as you don't mind being sued. After the expiration of the the three day notice, the landlord will file an Unlawful Detainer lawsuit against you, and have you served. It would be virtually (though not technically) impossible for the landlord to get a writ of possession and have you evicted prior to the end of the month. Best bet is to call the landlord, tell him you will be out by May 31st, and that if he will not sue you for Unlawful Detainer, you will agree to work out repayment of the rent you owe him. An eviction on your record, even if you don't get locked out, makes it much harder to rent in the future.
