Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

I WAS GIVEN A 3day PAY OR QUIT NOTICE ON MY DOOR AFTER I HAD TOLD THE LANDLORD THAT I COULD NOT PAY THIS MOUNTHS RENT UNTIL THE 15th THE RENT IS DUE ON THE 1st WITH A 3day GRACE PERIOD AND THEN THERE IS A 35 DOLLAR LATE FEE ACESTED TO IT AND THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I WAS LATE. MY QUISTION IS WHAT IS THE AVERAGE TIME TABLE THAT THE JUDGE AT THE COURT HEARING WILL GIVE ME TO VACATE UNDER THESE CONDITIONS AND NO OTHER REASONS FOR EVCTION.

The courts and the judges do not consider time to move out. If you are late with your rent and you can't pay the amount in the 3-day notice within the 3 days, you will be evicted. Logistically, an eviction takes about 45 days from the time the complaint is filed to the time a writ of possession is delivered to the Sheriff. Procedural mistakes and mishaps can increase that time, but if the landlord's attorney is efficient, you will be evicted no later than 45-50 days after the complaint is filed. If your landlord has a corporate property manager, you will not have any bargaining room for either money or time to move out. Good luck.
