Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

30 day versus 60 day notice

I signed a one year lease in February 2004. This lease had the provision that it would revert to a month to month situation if the landlord approved. I have stayed in the property ever since and on June 1st, 2005 I received a certified letter giving me 30 day notice to vacate. Doesn't the law require 60 day notice in this situation?

Thank you for your most kind assistance in this regard.

Re: 30 day versus 60 day notice

If you have lived in the property more than one year, you are entitled to a 60 day notice.
