Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

On 7/21 the guy in the apartment above me flooded his entire apartment and thus water came down and got my place wet. They made me move all my stuff into the hallway and kitchen so they could pull up the carpet which they did on 7/22. That same day they said I could not stay there until they were done with the carpet and the holes they punched in the walls to get to the water. Its now 8/1. They did not offer me another place to stay, they have entered my apartment many times without my consent because I wanted to be there to ensure my stuff was safe (which things have been broken while I wasn't there). Essentially to them I have been homeless while I wait for them to fix things. Also, rent was paid for the full month but I couldn't live there due to water and possible mold issues. Thoughts?

They should provide you with either a refund or another apartment to move into.
