Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California
On 01/20/12 a judgement for possession was entered and on 04/13/12 a status conference for an unlawful detainer was vacated. There are no public records on file on my credit report but when I recently applied for an apartment it showed up on record. Is it still active? Do I have any options because I was unaware of all of this and now find it hard to rent because people see it as an eviction?

It may not have been tied to your credit report if the person was a private party. It still is an eviction

The judgment of possession is what gives the landlord the right to have the property. It IS an eviction as the other attorneys point out, so I am not sure what your specific question is.
