Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California
I had a 6 month lease, begining 4/22/2011. on 10/21/2011 my lease was up, on 07/15/2011 I went to jail. On 07/07/11, a 3 day pay rent or quit was posted on the property. eviction notice and unlawful detainer was filed 07/15/11, notice was posted on property 07/18/11. on 10/04/11 the jail commander contacted landlord to followup on a pass i was asking for, to retreave my property. landlord told sargent cambell "your landlord states you have been evicted. He has agreed to store your property until you get out." I called landlord today to get my property, and landlord said all my property was thrown out.
