You will owe whatever rent that is past due. If you are on a fixed term lease you will owe rent through the end of the term or until the landlord re-rents the unit. If you are not out by the end of the three days, the landlord can file an eviction action (unlawful detainer) against you for non-payment of rent. The filing of the unlawful detainer can affect your ability to rent in the future. You should contact your landlord to inform him that you are leaving shortly. He may hold off on filing the eviction action if you are going to leave soon. You should also discuss paying of what you owe. From a business stand point the landlord would prefer that you vacate on your own and pay off what you owe without having to incur the expense of litgation.
