Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California
22 months ago I retained an attorney , who filed a lawsuit on my behalf. The lawsuit is active. If I choose to seek the advice of another attorney must I take certain steps before doing so ?

No. Clients run the show in litigation except to the extent they delegate to their attorney. If the client wants to get a second opinion, they are free to do so at any time.
