Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

60 notice to vacate

My lease ended last week and we

didn't give our sixty day notice until

right before then. We were told we

would have to pay month-to-month

until we renewed our lease and we're

verbally quoted $1750 then we

turned in our rent and we're called

saying we were misquoted and we

now own another $100 making our

rent $1875. Do we have any rights

here?

Re: 60 notice to vacate

You don't give enough facts.

What were you paying before? How long was your lease? Who misquoted...the landlord or a management company?

Unless you live in an area with rent control, you are certainly arguing over one month, because the rent can be raised every month, or every day.
