Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

AC Repair Frustration

My AC died on July 1st (a Tuesday) I called the management that night and left a message with their answering service (which they did not get). I also called Wed morning 15 minutes after they opened, to inform them that the AC unit had stopped functioning. They sent their maintenance man out to evaluate the problem that day (Wed). It took until the next Monday night (after 5pm) for them to finally fix it, because they only order parts from a certain vendor, and only deal with a certain plumber. I did not sleep for 6 nights straight because of the inefficiency of the management. Do I have any recourse? As a last resort would I be able to use this to get out of my lease early and move somewhere with more responsive, responsible management?

Re: AC Repair Frustration

Given that Friday was July 4, I think you would not be likely to have any recourse. Anyone would have a problem getting parts over a holiday weekend. They did handle the problem although not as quickly as you would wish.
