Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California
Hello again,
Thanks in advance for your time and assistance.
I am fighting an Unlawful Detainer action based on nonpayment of rent. On June 28, I found out about a possible "second" ledger that is kept by one of my landlords (2 men in a Ltd.), and so I served a Duces Tecum for said landlord and document on July 7. At that time, the court date was set for July 22, and that is what is written on the Subpoena. I just received a letter from the court informing me that the date has been pushed up to this Thursday, July 15.
My question: Do I need to do anything to ensure that the subpoenaed party is aware of the new court date? If the answer is yes, what exactly do I need to do?
Thanks again!
