Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California
the apt i am living in was foreclosed on. The bank is making everyone in the building move. Are we allowed to gwt out security deposit back. The bank instructed us not to pay her anymore because they are the new owners.

Yes you are entitled to your deposit back, under the same rules as any move-out. Both the old and new owners are jointly and severally liable to you for the deposit, less proper deductions.
