Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California
I need to break a lease due to a job relocation. My lease ends on May 31st. I notified my landlord that I will need to move out by Feb. 1st. She verbally agreed as long as I can find someone to replace me. However, she only want to rent to asian female. I am unable to find someone to her satisfaction. How should I go about leaving without paying her the months that I will not occupy?
