Break-ins
If my apartment was broken into can I hold the landlord and/or company responsible for negligence for not providing all the appropriate safety parts to my windows and sliding glass doors?

Re: Break-ins
If your window has a lock on it, that is all the landlord needs to do. If there was no lock and you informed the landlord of this and they did nothing, you might have a claim. If you have renters insurance, they will subrogate the claim to the landlord. Good luck.
