Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California
If the building in which my wife and I rent a room is labled as uninhabitable today will we have to vacate today? If so is there any help as to some where to go as we have given all our money to the person who rented to us.
1 Answer from Attorneys
Yes, you generally have to leave the moment it is declared uninhabitable. You need to hire an attorney or take the landlord to small claims court to get your money back.
