Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California
I am a business owner and leasing a space. My commercial landlord is refinancimg and wants paperwork signed. He has been harrassing us via phone calls, emails, etc. He been to my business site. Any advice?

Most likely he needs an estoppel certificate signed to verify to the lender that the lease terms he has represented to the lender are correct and that he is not in breach or default of any of his landlord obligations under the lease.. If so, you are almost certainly obligated under your lease to cooperate and you will be in breach of your lease if you refuse. If your refusal causes him to lose a favorable refinance, you could also be liable for the monetary losses that causes him.
