Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

Calif.I live in a dueplex that is in escrow.The buyers realtor came to my door & said Friday we want to test the Water Heater,Stove,Oven,Furnace,Thermastats ,Controllers, etc. for problems & gave me a note that only said { 4 PM PROPANE & HIS SIGNATURE } no date or who is coming. I said ok. On Friday I wait till 5PM & nobody shows up. I am locking up when a man arrives. I politely tell him its after 5PM & to reschedule during normal bussiness hrs. He starts yelling & tells me {You Will Let Me In Right Now, Or I Will Make Your Life A Living Hell, You Have No Idea Who You Are F___ing With. I closed the door, called the Sheriff Dept & filed police report of unnamed person making threats to me. 2 days later I ask buyers realtor to name the person and was told it was the buyer who wants to move in.This cant be legal. I am 72 years old living on SS. What are my options PLEASE ADVISE
