According to California rental laws, may a landlord share the contents of rental/lease agreements with a third party?

I disagree with Mr. McCormick's one-line answer.

In fact, many leases - particularly commercial leases - contain non-disclosure clauses. These clauses may protect the tenant's privacy, or it may protect the landlord, by preventing current and prospective tenants from finding out how much another tenant is paying.

Check the lease agreement. Under California law, a non-disclosure provision would likely be enforceable.
