Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California
Car damaged in a apartment complex
The parking spaces in my apartment complex are very tight. I park between two SUV and I found out my car has several dents and paint in the passangers side, from the car that parks next to me. What are my options to get paid back the cost of the fix? (is my apart. complex liable? the neighboor?)

Re: Car damaged in a apartment complex
The apartment complex is generally not going to be liable for the actions of a third party (the people parking next to you). Its also going to be difficult to prove that they are the ones who dinged your doors - while you may be 100% certain, proving in a court who caused the damage, and when is very difficult. As far as a Court is concerned, unless you witnessed the damage occur, or have video or photographic proof, its going to be tough to get anyone to pay to fix your car.
