Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

My car got keyed in the HOA garage, can I ask for them to pay for the damages? The damages to my car are estimated at $1-2K. There has been other incidents (e.g. theft) in the garage recently and our HOA refuses to put up security cameras. I pay $600/mo in HOA fees and I'm not even sure what I'm paying for if they cannot keep the premises safe.

You can always ask. They ay avean insurance policy.There may be liability if there ae repeated incidents but is it worth a suit for the amounts your talking about?... Your car insurance may cover as well
