Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

Cashing of Rent checks

Is there a limit of how many days a landlord can keep your rent check without cashing it? At this time our landlord has had our rent check given to on the 1st of the month for 20 days and he has not cashed it and he does this every month.
