Charges after moved out from Aptment

i moved out from rental apt and now the landlord wants me to pay on top of my depost 700 dollars

I need help , NO money

I agree with Mr. Bennett that more information is needed to answer the question. As a general rule, however, landlords can seek reimbursement beyond the security deposit depending on the condition of the apartment when you left. Landlords are entitled to keep the security deposit to the extent necessary to repair any damage to the apartment that exceeds normal wear and tear for the time you lived in it. Once they exhaust the security deposit (in other words, the damage exceeded $700) then they can sue you for the balance. Additionally, if you did not pay all of the rent due through the day you left, they can seek that as well. You need to discuss this with an attorney in your area, with some specifics. Sadly, with no money, few attorneys will want to take you on as a client. You might consider contacting legal aid in your area.
