Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California
I have a commercial lease for my office space which has no mention of early termination. My business is extremely hurt due to the economy and I can not afford to continue paying the rent. I contacted the landlord to ask about my options and he simply wrote back with, "there is no option." What can I do? I really need to get out of this!
Thanks.

You should take the lease to a lawyer to review. You always have options, some good, some not so good, but all of which will get you some relief. You will need to discuss how long you've been there and paying rent, how much more time is left on the lease term, and generally what damages you could be looking at in a worst case scenario. Good luck.....
