Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California
commerical rent
I am renting out 2 office spaces of a building, however I need to breach my contract on one of the spaces (still keeping one) because I cant afford it. However, for the past month, the owner keeps giving me the run-around saying that the property will be sold soon and I can ask the new owners. This is not acceptable to me but I dont know what else to do.

This is a relatively complex matter, and it is hard to give you a simple answer.
I have had an extremely busy day, and, while I try to answer these queries promptly, I don't have the time to devote to this now.
I will get back to you with answers by tomorrow morning.
The real simple and quick answer is to try to negotiate with this owner, since he has a binding contract with you (even if it is difficult to pin him down), but there is a lot more to it than that. More tomorrow, and good luck!
