Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

Complex preventing outside services

My wife and I recently moved into an

apartment complex and discovered a

few weeks later that we are unable

to obtain outside cable services

because the complex we live in

prevents them.

It seems our apartment complex has

provided its soley cable provider

Adelphia the only cable service

availible to its tenants in the

complex.

I'm just curious if this is a legal

practice. I'm a little upset because

Im basically forced into buying there

service if I want TV at all.
